Air Force Track And Field Camp!

We are looking forward to a fun-filled week of track & field instruction and competition. We have first class facilities at both our indoor and outdoor track, and miles and miles of beautiful running trails. The environment should be perfect for you to enjoy track and cross country.

Our staff includes outstanding college and high school coaches from around the country, as well as some terrific college athletes, several of whom have been NCAA All-Americans. All of our staff are excellent teachers for all ability levels, beginner to elite. Our staff to camper ration is 8:1.

Our philosophy is to (1) teach each camper all we can about the skills, techniques and training required to be a successful track & field athlete, (2) develop in each camper an appreciation for the sports of track & field and cross country, and (3) offer each camper several opportunities for special sessions on motivation, goal-setting and self-esteem.

You will be assigned to one of the broad event groups, based on the preference you indicated on your registration form for "position." The groups include: (1) sprints, (2) distance/cross country, (3) hurdles, (4) jumps or (5) throws. If you did not complete the "position" blank on the registration form, please e-mail us at or call our office at (719) 333-2173 and let us know which group you would like to concentrate your instruction or activity. Of course, you can cross over groups during the week and try other events, also.

The items you will need to bring to Camp include:

    • Spikes (if you will be in the sprint, hurdle or jump group)
    • Good running shoes (if you are a distance runner)
    • Hat and/or Sunscreen
    • Water bottle (marked w/your name)
    • Shots or discus (if you are a thrower)
    • Pocket money for snacks, souvenirs, video games, etc.

(Do NOT bring large amounts of cash!)

Check-in will be from 11:00 a.m. - 5:30 p.m. on Sunday, June 13. Instruction begins on Monday at 8:30 a.m. and continues each day through 4:30 p.m. The camp will conclude on Friday with a track meet from 9:30 - 11:30 a.m., followed by our "closing ceremonies." Parents are invited to this fun-filled competition.

The coaching staff and I are looking forward to a fun week. We are confident each camper will find the Falcon Sports Camp to be a valuable and an enjoyable experience!
