    Housing & Meals

HOUSING - **Boarders must be 12 years of age or older**

    Coach Pilipovich

All AFA Sport Camps are conducted on the campus of the U.S. Air Force Academy located in Colorado Springs, CO. Camp boarders are housed in Vandenberg Hall and are supervised by AFA Cadet and Adult camp counselors, as well as contract security personnel.

If you are camp boarder you will need to provide your own linen (twin bed) or sleeping bag, pillow, blanket, towels, washcloth, soap, toothpaste, toothbrush, and any other necessary toiletries. Please bring enough clothes to last for the 5 days of camp. Nights can get cool so a lightweight coat or wind breaker is recommended. Do not bring TV's, refrigerators, stereos, skateboards or other large bulky items.

Items of high dollar value, i.e. iPods, iPads, Laptops, DVD players, etc. are also HIGHLY discouraged.

The gift shop and various food and drink vendors are available during the day and evenings so money is a plus, but please don't bring more than $75 - $100. (See Lightning Bands)

For the safety and security of our campers and staff members, all Vandenberg Hall doors are monitored 24 hours a day, seven days a week and Campers must display a valid camp credential to gain access. Campers must be in Vandenburg Hall by 10:00pm. AFA Military Police monitor Vandenburg Hall and surrounding areas overnight.

Be sure to safeguard your dorm key and camp credential! If you lose your key, go to your counselor or the dorm's information desk immediately. Lost keys will incur a $10.00 charge for a replacement.

    ROOMMATES

Camp Boarders can request, up to two (2) roommates within the registration online. Listing a roommate(s) preference does not guarantee enrollment of the roommate in the camp. We will do our best to fulfill roommate requests; however, we cannot guarantee those requests. If no preference is indicated, a roommate will be assigned. Rooming assignments are finalized 14 days prior to the start of camp and campers will find out who their roommates are upon checking-in on Sunday. Campers will no longer be able to make, or change, roommate requests within 14 days prior to the start of camps. Additionally, no changes will be made on the day of check-in.

AFA Sports Camps cannot guarantee that entire teams or all campers from a single school will be housed on the same floor. This applies to teams attending individual camps. Campers attending team camps will be housed together by team. Also, AFA Sports Camps cannot guarantee that every camper will be assigned a roommate.

    WHAT TO BRING

If you are boarding in the dormitory you will need to provide your own linen (twin bed) or sleeping bag, pillow, blanket, towels, washcloth, soap, toothpaste, toothbrush, and any other necessary toiletries. Depending on what sport you are in, campers will need to bring their own personal equipment (i.e. Hockey-pads/skates/helmet/sticks, Lax sticks/pads/helmet, golf clubs, fencing equipment, etc.) and all necessary work-out clothes. Sunscreen is a must! It's also a good idea to bring a padlock to secure your valuables in your room.
