Session 3: June 24-26
Parents and Young Tennis Players,
Thank you for considering the Falcon Tennis Camp for your tennis needs this summer! Tennis is a lifetime sport that is played and enjoyed by both young and old. This camp is designed for the beginner as well as the more experienced players for Sessions 1 & 2 ages 8-18. We have added Session 3 which is open to ages 12-18, but is geared towards the competitive tournament players ages 12-18. Our goal is for everyone to come away from camp with a new appreciation for the game of tennis.
Our staff will cover stroke production and match play, along with warm-up exercises, stretching and conditioning. A video analysis and evaluation will be provided for each camper. We want everyone to have fun while learning to play this great game. Each camper will get to play a lot of competitive games in both singles and doubles.
An experienced and talented staff is the backbone of the Falcon Tennis Camp. Tennis was one of the original sports camps (some 25 years ago) and still remains a favorite here at the Air Force Academy. The instructors working the camp include teaching professionals, collegiate and former collegiate players who have been All-Americans or competed on the professional tour. The campers will be divided into three groups: beginners, intermediate and advanced to get the benefit of specialized instruction.
Workout gear should include t-shirt, shorts, skirts or skorts, sweats, hat, sunscreen and a non-marking tennis court shoe.
Each day of Sessions 1 & 2, the camp runs from 8:30am until 4:30pm with the exception of Friday which is a half day camp with the closing ceremonies starting at approximately 11:00am. Session 3 will have two full days with Mon & Tue and Wed the half day that will be like the Fri schedule of the full week camps. The campers will be free to leave immediately following the ceremony.
Again thank you for considering the Falcon Tennis Camp. We are confident it will be a rewarding experience for all young tennis players and will contribute to their future success and enjoyment in tennis.
