Parents and Young Girl Softball Players (ages 10-18)

Hello and thank you for considering the Air Force Academy's Girls' Softball Camp. Softball is a great game and with the increased popularity of the sport, we are happy to include it into the Falcon Sports Camp program. I am proud and honored to run the camp again this summer. My coaching  staff is composed of well experienced teachers with all the necessary tools to help teach all skills and age levels.

Falcon Softball camp is a teaching/learning camp focusing on fundamentals to elevate their present game or work to develop new and improved skills. It is a great opportunity to enhance skills as well as to build upon skills you already have. Each player will be placed in a group based on her age/skill level.

We will provide softballs, some bats, and batting helmets. However, if you have your own equipment, please bring it to camp. Gloves, softball shoes/cleats and practice uniforms will not be provided.

• Helmet w/cage (if you already have your own, please bring it)
• Bat (if you have your own bat, you can bring it to camp)
• Glove
• Cleats (rubber or molded cleats--metal spikes are not allowed)
You will need a pair of cleats for play on the outdoor softball fields and a pair of sneakers or sandals for wear when using the indoor Academy Facilities.

Camp will begin each day at 8:30am and will wrap-up at 4:30pm. The morning session will consist of fielding, hitting and individual instruction drills. The afternoon session will work on game situations and learning position techniques. The week culminates with a formal game on Friday to showcase the skills learned during the week. The awards ceremony will commence at approximately 11:00am after the instruction on Friday. The ceremony will be on the upper softball fields, and parents/friends who want to observe any of the sessions or the final day are welcome to come out and watch.
