Welcome to the 2015 Air Force Academy Sports Camps presented by Children’s Hospital Colorado! We are excited that you are considering the Academy for your summer sports camp experience and are certain that our camps will not disappoint.
This summer will once again be packed with great opportunities for athletes of all ages to hone their skills in their sport of choice. We will offer more than 20 sports camps as well as several other specialty camps that are open to children ages 8-18 and are led by our very own AFA head coaches! Our camps will be broken into four sessions. Session one will run from June 8-June 12, session two will run from June 15-June 19 and session three, which is a commuter-only week, will run from June 22-24. Finally, session four, which will feature our world class figure skating camp, will run from June 29-July 2.
Campers who choose to attend camps in Session 1 or Session 2 also have the option of boarding here on campus and stay in the same dorms as the more than 4,000 cadets do! Additionally boarders get the added benefit of eating in Mitchell Hall and interacting with cadet counselors who will teach campers what it is like to be a student at the Air Force Academy.
AFA Sports Camps could not be more excited to once again be partnering with Children’s Hospital Colorado as our commitment to the health and wellness of young athletes is a focus of our camps and falls directly in line with the values of Children’s. Moreover, Children’s Hospital’s continued growth in Colorado Springs makes them the perfect fit for AFA Sports Camps. In fact, Children’s Hospital Colorado in Colorado Springs is now home to 30-plus pediatric specialists, ranging from orthopedics, neurology, audiology, endocrinology, and much more.
In addition to our incredible partnership with the Children’s Hospital Colorado, we are proud to announce that we will be welcoming back TrueSport as a partner for the second straight year. TrueSport is a program powered by the United States Anti-Doping Agency (USADA), designed to positively impact and preserve the future of sport in America. The 2015 AFA Sports Camps will once again be officially recognized as a True Sport camp by USADA which means that each camper will be exposed to the curriculum and will gain important lessons on what it means to be a TrueSport athlete.
Full details on each camp will be published on our Web site, www.goairforcefalcons.com/camps in early December and camp registration officially begins on January 9, 2015. Our camps are first come, first served and space is limited so don’t delay, sign up today!
