The Mountain West has launched a giveaway in which fans can submit what they think should be the official Twitter and Instagram hashtag of the 2013 Reese's MW Basketball Championships. The conference will narrow down the field to a handful of finalists next Tuesday, March 5, where fans can then vote on their favorite. The Conference office will announce a winner after 3 p.m. MT on Friday, March 8, and the person who submitted the winning hashtag will win a pair of tickets to next year's tournament. The Air Force women's basketball team has announced that the game times on the opening day of the Air Force Classic have changed from their originally scheduled times. The Falcons' contest versus Kansas City on Friday, Nov. 30, has been moved up to a 4:00 p.m. start time (originally scheduled for 5:00 p.m.). Meanwhile, the second game of the evening, between Boise State and San Diego, is slated to begin at 7:00 p.m. (originally scheduled for 7:30 p.m.).
Saturday's games will remain as scheduled, with Kansas City facing Boise State at 2:00 p.m., followed by a 4:30 p.m. contest between Air Force and San Diego.
The 2012-13 Mountain West Basketball Countdown to Tipoff featuring the Air Force Falcons has been posted online for both the men's and women's programs.
Earlier this week, Jesse Kurtz of the Mountain West Digital Network visited the Academy and spoke to head coaches Dave Pilipovich and Andrea Williams, as well as seniors Todd Fletcher, Mike Lyons, Dymond James and Alicia Leipprandt.

CANNED FOOD DRIVE AT MEN'S AND WOMEN'S HOOPS THIS THURSDAY AND FRIDAY
Air Force women's basketball opens up their home schedule vs. Denver this Thursday at Clune Arena. The Falcons will tip-off play at 7 pm. All fans donating a non-perishable food item at the gate will receive $2 admission and a free ticket voucher to the Air Force vs. Northern Colorado game on Friday, November 25th. The men's basketball team will also be back in action this Friday when they host their annual food drive at Clune Arena before the Western State game @ 7 pm. All fans donating a non-perishable food item at the gate will receive $2 admission to the game in upper baseline seating. Family Friday seating is also available in all other sections of Clune Arena for only $40. Family Friday packages include four tickets to the game and $20 in bonus cash to spend at the concession stand. The Falcon men's team will then turn around for an in-state showdown with Colorado on Wednesday, November 23rd @ 7 pm. All single game purchased tickets to the game will include $5 in bonus cash to spend at the Clune Arena concession stands on game night. The first 450 fans will also receive a free pair of AFA mesh shorts at the gate.
Football vs. UNLV - November 19th - The Falcons will be at Falcon Stadium for their home finale on Saturday in a big game for post-season implications. Kick-off is scheduled for 4 pm. $5 overlook tickets are available. $5 youth tickets are also available in all sections - enter promo code "SCOUT". $40 family packs are also available for only $40 in all sections. Women's Basketball vs. Denver - November 17th - The Falcons open up their home schedule with a big game this Thursday vs. DU @ 7 pm. All fans donating a non-perishable food item at the gate will receive $2 admission to the game and a voucher for free admission to the Northern Colorado game on November 25th.
Friday Football Luncheon - November 18th - Stop by the Falcon Stadium Press Box for the final football luncheon of the year and a chance to hear from Coach Calhoun before heading into this weekend's must win for the Falcons. Famous Dave's has a great menu on tap all for only $10! Lunch includes: Buffalo Chicken Wings, BBQ Chicken Wings, Chopped Pork, Texas Beef Brisket, baked beans, mac and cheese, salad, bread pudding and fudge brownies along with beer and soda. Doors open at 11 am and the program/door prizes start at noon.
Boxing Friday Night Fights - November 18th Air Force Boxing will host their Friday Night Fight series at the Cadet Gymnasium this Friday. For a chance to preview this year's Wing Open contenders, stop by the Academy at 4:30 pm to catch a full lineup of bouts.

Volleyball Thursday Night Tailgate - AFA Faculty Night - November 10th - Air Force volleyball hosts their final home series of the season this weekend. Play from the Cadet Gymnasium starts on Thursday as the Falcons welcome in UNLV @ 7 pm. All fans in attendance will receive a free ticket to the AFA vs. UNLV football game at the gate! Noodles & Company will be providing the first 200 AFA faculty members and up to four accompanying guests with free food during a pre-game tailgate. AFA faculty can present their prox card to receive admission to the tailgate. Doors will open at 6 pm. Tickets are only $2 for youth and $5 for adults.
Football vs. Wyoming Scout Day - November 12th - Air Force would like to welcome local Boy and Girl Scouts to this Saturday's game for the annual "Scout Day" at Falcon Stadium. Tickets for the game are available for all scouts and guests by clicking here. Special discounts include a $10 ticket with $5 of concession vouchers included.
Volleyball Fan Appreciation Night - November 12th The Falcons will wrap up their 2011 season with a home match this Saturday against San Diego State. First serve is 5 pm. Be sure to stop by after the Wyoming Football game and present your ticket stub at the gate for free admission. All other admission will be available for only $1. The first 200 fans in attendance will receive a free AFA stadium scarf at the gate.
Men's Swimming vs. Utah - @ 6 pm - Men's swimming will be in action from the Cadet Gymnasium Natatorium this Thursday starting at 6 pm. Admission is free and open to the public.
