This week in Air Force athletics

Men's Basketball - Air Force men's basketball enters another important stretch in the Mountain West conference this week with two of the league's upper tier teams coming to Clune Arena and a chance to make up ground in the standings.  A talented UNLV team comes calling tomorrow night, boasting a lineup that features Freshman phenom and  projected NBA lottery pick Anthony Bennett along with All-Conference performer and another future pro, Mike Moser.  Air Force currently sits deadlocked with the Rebels in fourth place in the conference. The last time the two teams met was just one month ago in an overtime thriller that saw the Falcons relinquished a late lead to falter down the stretch.  Tickets are still available for the UNLV game for as low as $9 by clicking here.  The first 100 fans in attendance will receive a free meal card from Qdoba.  This Wednesday will also be Military Appreciation Night at Clune Arena which means $5 upper level tickets for all Military personnel and accompanying guests.  If you are an active or retired serviceman or woman you are eligible for the discount and can take advantage of the $5 offer by clicking here or contacting the AFA ticket office at 472-1895.  $5 tickets will also be available on game night by presenting a valid military i.d. at the Clune Arena box office.  Tip-off is set for 7 pm.

On Saturday, the Falcons will welcome in another of the MWC's elite when #24 Colorado State visits the Springs.  The Rams have reeled off four straight and currently reside just a half game back of first place in the league.  CSU is just two games up on Air Force, providing a golden opportunity for the Falcons to continue their climb in the conference.  Tickets are still available for this Saturday's 2 pm tip.  To reserve your seats visit the ticket page on or contact the AFA ticket office at 472-195.  Upper level admission starts at just $9.  Scout Day tickets are also available for just $5 for all boy scouts and girl scouts and family members.  For more information about Scout Day tickets please contact the AFA ticket office at 472-1895.  The first 500 fans in attendance will receive a free foam Lightning Bolt at the gate courtesy of the Gazette.
