    Drew Fowler, a 2008 graduate of the Air Force Academy and former football player, is featured in a story about playing arena football. He's currently stationed at Wright-Patterson AFB, Ohio.

    This week in Air Force athletics

    Women's tennis closes out regular season with two home matches -- Air Force women's tennis looks to wrap up a stellar regular season with a pair of conference victories this weekend to finish above .500 in league play.  The Falcons currently sit at 2-3 in the Mountain West just behind Wyoming which sets up a huge match at the Cadet Gymnasium on Saturday when the Cowgirls head down I-25 for a 2 pm showdown at the Academy.  Air Force also boasts the second best overall record among conference teams at 16-6.  Preceding the Wyoming match is a late Friday afternoon contest with Colorado State at 4 pm.  Admission is free and all fans are encouraged to come out, provide some energy and help the Falcons end the regular season on a high note. 

     

    Baseball vs. Regis - April 17th - The Falcons will host Regis today @ 3 pm in a previously unscheduled make up game from an earlier rain delay.  Admission is free.

     

    Women's Tennis vs. CSU and Wyoming - April 20th and 21st  - Air Force women's tennis will be in action at the Cadet Gymnasium this Friday and Saturday for two conference matches to close out their regular season campaign.  The Falcons welcome front range rivals CSU on Friday and Wyoming on Saturday.  Start times are set for 4 pm, Friday and 2pm on Saturday.  Admission is free.

     

    Men's Tennis vs. Colorado College - April 22nd  - Colorado College will head uptown this Sunday for a mid morning match with Air Force at the Cadet Gymnasium.  Play will begin at 10 am.  Admission is free.

    This week in Air Force athletics

    THE NCBA CHAMPIONSHIPS COME TO THE ACADEMY THIS WEEK
    Air Force boxing enters this week's national championships on the heels of the program's 32nd NCBA Regional Title.  The Falcons dominated the regional bouts by claiming 10 of 12 weight class titles.  Senior Tyrus Korecki was named the Outstanding Boxer after winning the 156-pound championship.  Four AFA fighters won their regional titles before the final bell sounded, after forcing the referee to stop their contests early. 

    The Falcons will turn around this week to host the nation's best boxers this week at Clune Arena for the NCBA National Championships.  The tournament will run from April 5th through the 7th.  Tickets are available by contacting the AFA ticket office at 719-472-1895 or clicking here.  Price for admission is only $10 per day and $20 for an all session pass good for all three rounds.  Premium seating is available center ring for $15 a day and $30 all session. Thursday and Friday bouts will run from 4 pm to 8 pm and the finals will be held on Saturday from 2-5 pm.

    Big Week of Baseball at the Academy - April 3rd - 7th - Air Force baseball prepares for another long home stand this week starting this Thursday, April 5th as they host New Mexico @ 3pm.  The game with mark the beginning of a three game set with the Lobos.  Game two is scheduled for Friday, April 6th @ 3 pm and the finale will be at noon on Saturday.  Admission is free.  Click here to read more about the AFA baseball team.

     

    Track Opens up Outdoor Season at Home - April 5th - 7th - Outdoor competition for the Air Force Track and Field teams begins this week at the newly renovated track stadium North of the Holiday Athletic Center.  Events start early on Thursday, April 5th @ 11 am and will run all day.  Competition on Friday will also start at 11 am.  The Air Force Relays, a one day event will begin at 10 am on Saturday and continue all day.  Admission is free.  Click here for past performances from the AFA track and field team.

     

    Women's Tennis Doubleheader - April 7th - The Air Force women's tennis team looks to continue it's recent success with a big conference matchup at the Cadet Gym this Saturday.  The Falcons have quietly won 7 out of their last 8 matches and sit at 13-4 on the season.  The Falcons will host San Diego State @ 10 am to start things off followed by UNLV @ 2 pm.  Admission is free.

     

    Men's Gymnastics Welcome in MPSF Championships - April 7th - Fresh off of it's third National Championship in as many years, the Falcon men's gymnastics team will host the MPSF Championships at the Cadet Gymnasium West Gym this Saturday, April 7th @ 5 pm.  Click here for more information on the men's gymnastics team.  Admission is $10 for adults and $5 for youth.

     

    Men's Lacrosse vs. Bellarmine - April 8th - The Falcons men's lacrosse team looks to build on consecutive wins with a successful outcome this Sunday, April 8th at Falcon Stadium against Bellarmine.  Admission is free, game time is at noon.
