This week in Air Force athletics

    MEN'S BASKETBALL WELCOMES #13 AZTECS TO CLUNE ARENA ON SATURDAY  
    Air Force men's basketball faces a pair of tough tasks in the week ahead.  First on the docket is a road trip to Laramie tomorrow night to face the fourth place Cowboys at 6 pm.  The game will be televised on The Mtn. and for those that can't get to  a TV Jim Arthur will have the call on AM 740 KVOR.  The Falcons will finish the week with another of the MWC's elite as #13 San Diego State comes to town for a Saturday matinee at 2 pm.  Tickets for the SDSU game are still available by clicking here.  The first 500 fans in attendance will also receive a free AFA mini-driveway basketball at the gate.

     

    Wing Open Quarterfinals - February 15th - Catch second round action in the annual Wing Open tomorrow night from the Cadet Gymnasium Boxing Room.  The long journey continues for contenders hoping to make the Open finals on March 1st.  Bouts will begin @ 4:30 - winners advance to fight another day.  Admission is free.

     

    3,2,1 Night at Women's Basketball - February 15th    Fans are invited out to Clune Arena tomorrow night to take advantage of great discounts at the box office and concession stand.  The Falcons will host front range rival Wyoming at 7 pm and tickets are available for only $3.  The savings will continue inside the Arena with $2 hot dogs and $1 sodas throughout the entire game!  All fans will also receive a free AFA stocking cap courtesy of Pepsi at the gate while supplies last.  Tickets will be available on game night at the Clune Arena box office.

     

    Hockey vs. Mercyhurst - Home Season Finale - February 17th and 18th -
    The first place Air Force hockey team will look to stay on a roll when AHA rival Mercyhurst visits the Cadet Ice Arena for an important conference matchup this Friday and Saturday.  The Falcons have been hot for the past month going on a 5-0-3 streak since the Army Series in mid-January.  The run has boosted them atop league standings with just two weeks remaining.  Mercyhurst currently sits in third place two points off pace behind Air Force.  Tickets for this Friday and Saturday are still available but expect to go fast.  Saturday's game is down to standing room only which will go on sale one hour prior to game time at 6 pm.    It's Youth Night at the Cadet Ice Arena both dates which means all youth attending the game wearing their hockey jersey will receive $3 admission.  To reserve your seats today click here.

     

    Women's Gymnastics vs. UC Davis - February 18th  - After spending the first five weeks of the season on the road the Air Force women's gymnastics team finally opens their home schedule over the weekend.  The Falcons will host UC Davis at 2 pm., on Saturday, Feb. 18, at the Cadet West Gym.  Admission is free.
