This week in Air Force athletics

    Coach Calhoun's Radio Show - Tonight  - Join Coach Calhoun at Back East Bar & Grill tonight to talk Falcon football leading into the season.  Coach's radio show will go on the air with KVOR 740 am host Jim Arthur @ 6:30 pm and Back East will have food and drink specials going on after work for anyone that wants to stop by for happy hour.

    Friday Football Luncheon - September 9th -  Join Falcon fans at the Falcon Stadium pressbox this Friday for the Friday football luncheon.  This week's lunch will be provided by Noodles & Co.  The menu includes pasta fresca, berry berry spinach salad, chocolate chip cookies, snicker doodles and rice crispy treats.  Stop by for some great food, prizes, and a chance to hear from Coach Calhoun before this weekend's game.  $10 admission at the door, lunch starts at 11 am and doors open at 10:30am.

    Volleyball Falcon Classic Starts on Friday - September 9th - Air Force volleyball will be back at home starting this Friday for the Falcon Classic tournament at the Cadet Gymnasium.  The Falcons host Utah Valley Friday @ 7 pm - 4 packs of tickets will be available at the gate for only $4 and the first 200 fans in attendance will receive a free pair of mesh shorts at the match.  The Falcons will begin play on Saturday morning at 11 am against USC Upstate and then close out the tournament with a 7 pm match against Northern Arizona.  The first 100 fans in attendance at the 11 am match will receive a coupon good for up to 4 $10 upper reserved tickets to the TCU football game.  For the Northern Arizona match fans presenting either a ticket stub from the USC Upstate volleyball match or TCU football game will receive free admission.  A free build your own ice cream sundae bar will be provided for all fans in attendance while supplies last!

    Women's Soccer home stand - September 9th-11th - The Air Force women's soccer team will be hosting a pair of games at the Cadet Soccer Stadium this weekend starting with a Friday night contest against Weber State @ 7 pm.  The Falcons will close out the weekend with a Sunday matinee vs. Cleveland State at 11 am. Admission to both games are free.

    Cross Country Rustbuster - September 10th - Falcon cross country will kick off their 2011 campaign with the Rustbuster Invitation right here in Colorado Springs on Saturday, September 10th @ 8:45 am.  The course will be set up at Monument Valley Park.  Admission is free.
