This week in Air Force athletics

FALCON SOCCER DOUBLEHEADERS - FRIDAY AND SUNDAY The men's and women's soccer teams have each gotten off to a fast start in 2011 and look to continue their winning ways heading into conference play.  The men's team is coming off of a huge weekend on the east coast where they ran the table in the Pitt invitational to push their record to 3-1.  The women have already reached 4 wins on the season, and continue to improve on a weekly basis.  Both teams return to action for a big non-conference doubleheader at the Cadet Soccer Stadium starting at 5 pm this Friday.  The men will open things up against the College of Charleston and the women will take the field shortly after for a showdown with Arkansas at around 7:30pm.   Sunday's doubleheader will feature the Air Force men and Buffalo at 11 am followed by the women hosting Fresno State @ 1:30 pm.  Admission is free for all home soccer events.

Fencing Nick Toth Open - Saturday and Sunday -The Falcon fencing team will be hosting their largest tournament of the year this weekend.  Stop by the Cadet Gymnasium to watch some of the area's best fencers compete for the Nick Toth title.  Admission is free and open to the public. 

Men's Golf - Gene Miranda Falcon Invitational - Sunday - The men's golf team opens up their home season on Sunday by hosting the Gene Miranda Falcon Invitational from the Eisenhower Golf Course.  Play will start early on Sunday and run throughout the day.  Admission is free.
