Weekly happenings at Air Force

    KID'S DAY WITH AIR FORCE FOOTBALL THIS SATURDAY 

    Mark your calendars for this Saturday, August 20th for a fun afternoon at Falcon Stadium with the Air Force Football team.  Gates will open at 9:30 am for an open practice and scrimmage.  Fans are invited to come preview the team and then stick around to meet the players and coaches down on the field for autographs and photos.  We'll keep the South side of the stadium open from the 50 into the endzone for kids to play catch.  Autographs will begin shortly after practice at 11:45 and go until around 1pm.  Concessions will be available for fans around lunch time.  Admission is free and open to the general public.

    Volleyball Blue & Silver Scrimmage - August 20th @ 7 pm Air Force volleyball kicks off the 2011 season with their annual Blue & Silver Scrimmage on Saturday, August 20th at the Cadet Gymnasium.  Fans are invited to preview the team starting at 7 pm - admission is free.  Regular season play begins on Tuesday, August 30th when the Falcons host Northern Colorado at 7 pm.  The first 250 fans in attendance will receive a commemorative Air Force Volleyball long-sleeved t-shirt courtesy of Pepsi.  Admission is only $2 for youth and $5 for adults.  To check out the entire promotional schedule complete with ticket discounts and giveaways, click here.

     

    Women's Soccer Opening Weekend - August 19th & 20th - The Falcon women's soccer team opens up the 2011 season with a pair of home games this weekend.  Colorado Mines will be visiting the Academy on Friday for a 7 pm start time and then Air Force will be back at the Cadet Soccer Stadium on Sunday, August 21st for a matinee game against Colorado State-Pueblo @ 11 am.  Admission is free for the general public.

     

    Earn Free AFA Tickets Through the Blue & Silver Book Club - Registration is now open for the 2011-12 Blue & Silver Book Club.  The book club offers youth the opportunity to earn free tickets to AFA sporting events by reaching specific reading goals on a monthly basis.  The program is free to join and open to kids aged 8th grade and under.  Membership cards, book logs and additional information about the program is available at all PPLD branches and the USAFA base library.  Fans can also logon to goairforcefalcons.com to download their membership cards and book logs, click here.

     

    Men's Soccer vs. Central Arkansas and Colorado Mines - August 17th & August 20th - The Falcon men's soccer team will be in action for a pre-season scrimmage against Colorado Mines this Saturday the 20th @ 6 pm.  Admission is free and open to the general public.
