Brittany Dutton concluded an impressive four-year career with the USAG national title on the uneven bars, USAG All-America status in the all-around and the USAG Most Outstanding Senior Award.
Dutton earned a share of the program's first-ever title on the uneven bars with a 9.800 on Sunday, April 10, as she tied with Cornell's Melanie Jorganson for first. The senior team captain also placed within the top eight on the vault and balance beam during the individual event finals.
During the team championships on Saturday, April 9, Air Force was assisted by Dutton's top-three finish on the uneven bars to finish third in the team standings.
The Tucker, Ga., native was instrumental in the Falcons' advancing to their first USAG team finals since 2003 during the qualifying session on Friday, April 8. Dutton set a career-best mark of 38.925 to place second in the all-around, while matching her career high on the uneven bars at 9.8925 and tallying a season-best 9.725 on the vault.
Dutton, selected as the USAG Most Outstanding Senior by the division coaches, wrapped up a successful season that saw her earn a share of the MPSF balance beam title, claim the MPSF Gymnast of the Year award and compete at her third NCAA Regional Championship meet.
