News and notes from Air Force athletics this week follow.
Men's and women's basketball - Both programs host senior nights this week. The men's team closes its home season on Wednesday against TCU at 6 p.m. and will honor Evan Washington, Derek Brooks and Tom Fow. The women's program plays its final home game Saturday at noon vs. New Mexico and will honor Raimee Beck.
Wrestling - Air Force hosts the West Regional Championships this Sunday at 5 p.m. in Clune Arena. The finals and third-fourth place matches will be broadcast live on goairforcefalcons.com.
Baseball - The Falcons continue to play on the road, traveling to the Coca-Cola Classic March 3-6 in Surprise, Ariz., at the site of the Kansas City Royals spring training facility.
Boxing - The annual Wing Open is Thursday at 7 p.m. in Clune Arena. The night will feature 12 bouts and this year's charity that all donations will benefit is the Wounded Warrior Project.
Women's Gymnastics - The Air Force women's gymnastics team returns to the Academy this week for a pair of home meets against Eastern Michigan. The Falcons and Eagles will first face off on Wednesday, March 2, before meeting again on Saturday, March 5, for Senior Night. Both matches will begin at 6 p.m., at the Cadet West Gymnasium. During Saturday's competition, Air Force will honor its three senior gymnasts - Holland Davis, Brittany Dutton, Lisa Wong - and its senior manager, Ashley Green.
Football - Spring drills continue this week, as the team works out each afternoon. Practices are open to the public and take place on the practice fields behind the Cadet Field House.
