AFA Rifle team fired their highest season score at TCU

On Thursday, Feb. 10, in a regular-season match against the TCU Frogs, the Falcons shot their highest season team score thus far scoring a 4641.  Air Force lost to TCU, 4660-4641. The Academy's four-man smallbore squad scored 2296 points, and the air rifle squad finished with a 2345.


The team's biggest standouts on Thursday were junior Kyle Phillips who fired a 585 in air rifle, which is a career high.  He also finished with a career-high aggregate score of 1159 (574 smallbore/585 air rifle).  Sophomore Ben York shot a season high 583 in the air rifle.  Senior Tom Chandler led the smallbore team with 582 points and junior Robert Vasquez led with a 589 in air rifle.
