The Air Force tennis teams open their 2010-11 seasons this weekend.
The men's team, under the direction of second-year head coach Dan Oosterhous, will travel to Waco, Texas for the Baylor Invitational. Sixteen teams will participate at the tournament, including five, Texas A&M, Rice, Baylor, Texas Tech, and Auburn, that are ranked in the top 32 in the country. The Falcons will send eight players, including five freshmen, to the tournament.
Meanwhile, head coach Kim Gidley and the Air Force women head to Pullman, Wash., for the Washington State Cougar Classic. Gidley, entering her 13th season, is the program's winningest head coach with 149 victories. The Falcons will send six players, including freshman Anastasia Hueffner, to the tournament. Joining Air Force and Washington State are Boise State, Idaho, Gonzaga, Eastern Washington, Montana, Montana State, Seatllu University and Portland State.
